Hi,

I just got a new laptop with 17" 1920x1200 screen + Windows Vista and installed HM on it.

When I got the laptop I immediatly changed the DPI to 120 because with this resolution, everything gets too tiny @ 96 DPI.

Now I noticed that HM is not ready for the larger DPI. In the main HM windows text is too large, so it won't fit on buttons etc. More importantly, the text in the HUD is now so huge it won't fit in the black boxes, not even a little bit.

So in other words, it's impossible to use HM at all with this DPI setting, but switching back would cause me problems with reading text in other programs (like for instance Outlook mail).

Could you somehow force DPI size within the HUD and HM main windows to be 96 DPI? Text would of course be small @ this resolution, but enlarging the HUD boxes seems like a bad idea.

Hope you can help!

The problem has been solved.

Turns out that in Vista when you adjust DPI, you can click the "Custom DPI" button. Here is an option for "Windows XP style scaling" which is turned on by default. You need to turn this off and reboot and HM looks fine next time you boot with 120DPI.

I have the same problem, but in the "Custom DPI"-dialog, the "use Windows XP scaling" checkbox is checked, but greyed out, so I can't uncheck it. Any idea how to fix this ?

Try rebooting and make sure your running as admin, not sure why it would not let you untick it, maybe google it

Ok, I did turn it off - but I'm still having the same problem.

It's looking like this:
