Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. I'm not very technologically savvy so I can use some help.

I went to this sticky http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=12 to help me back up my database. I would get all the way to the last step, I would choose to have it be backed up onto a CD, I click on my CD-Rom drive to have it be backed up onto a blank CD and this message would pop up.

"C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.3\bin\pg_dump.exe -h localhost -p 5432 -U postgres -F c -b -v -f "D:\fg.backup" "HoldemManager"
pg_dump: [custom archiver] could not open output file "D:\fg.backup": Invalid argument

Process returned exit code 1."

Can anyone help?

You need to backup to a hard drive. It wont backup to a disc like that. After you have created a .backup file you could use your burning software and create a data disc with that .backup file.

Make sure you export/backup everything manually too. If the Restore doesnt work properly you will need those original and exported files to rebuild the DB.
