I´m getting this message all the time.
Tried to re-install HEM two times, tried it on two other computers with the same error.
The names are not the same but it keeps on saying that and i can´t delete default or overwrite it. Is it something wrong with the files?
I´ve downloaded the beginners SnG layout from this page http://forums.holdemmanager.com/showthread.php?t=10133
and the heads up SnG http://www.husng.com/node/909

I will upload the files so you can look at them in case that's the problem.

I am going to take a look at this later tonight or first thing tomorrow.

I think he may have simply copied and renamed his prefs.xml file. This may have been before we had the option to import/export.

Try this:

Close HM:

Go to your \holdem manager\config folder

Make sure you can see known file extensions - Windows hides 'known file extensions' by default. http://www.granneman.com/techinfo/windows/showextensions/

Rename prefs.xml to prefs.original.xml

Rename one of your attached .xml files to prefs.xml, and paste a copy into the \config folder.

Open HM

Many people mistakenly customize the Default HUD instead of making a new custom HUD name that is a clone of the Default HUD. Then modifying the new HUD layout. Then they are easy to export/import.

any ides or solutions to the problem?

Yes, it was a rather simple solution. The problem is because the people that posted the files had modified their Default config instead of creating a new config to customize.

I let it import and overwrite my default file. I then made a New Config, which clones the currently selected config (the newly imported Default config in this case). Then I exported the file properly with a new name.

If I wanted to restore my Default config to proper default settings, I could simply close HM and delete my prefs.xml file so it rebuilds.
