View Full Version : HUD Stats Positions

I downloaded/installed the abortive 1.09.01 (or was it .02) that was, in part, released to accommodate the new pokerstars 4 and 8 max tables. Like many others, I had to revert to 1.09 and since that time I've had a problem with my HUD stat positions for two HUD profiles.

The 2 profiles, PSOMT and PSHET equate to settings for Omaha and Holdem tournies which means that the HUD stats are in different positions for 9-max and different positions for 6-max. However, these 2 profiles seemed to now be linked and any chance to the stats positions on one, is pretty well instantly reflected in a change on the other. Very frustrating.

I have checked in HUD Options > Player Preferences > Use For, and sure enough PSOMT is set for PS > Tourney > Omaha8, and PSHET is set for PS > Tourney > Holdem.

I've just updated to 1.09.02 and the problem persists in that these two profiles seem to be linked. I do not have the same problem with two other profiles (for FTP) called FTOMT and FTHET. Changing stats positions in one of these profiles is not replicated in the other... thankfully.

Advice appreciated.

Please attach your prefs.xml file from C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder. If your extensions are off you'll just see a file called prefs. To attach it to a thread in the forums, look below the post reply button when you start a new thread and you'll see a manage attachments button. Click this and attach the file.

Correction to my OP: The two profiles in question are PSOMT and PSNLT (not PSHET)

You need to set the default HUD to a site you never play. I didn't test it before I did that, but once I set the default HUD to Dracula and played a couple games, it seemed fine to me.

If you ever confuse the HM as to which HUD you want to appear, it will typically revert to the default HUD, regardless of how it is set. I always recommend people start out by cloning the default HUD to make their own HUD(s) and turn off the original Default config by setting it to an odd site.

Ummm... on 2nd thoughts and after playing PLO8 and NLHE on Pokerstars, my original problem remains.

Any more suggestions Fozzy?

I suggest you export all your HUD configs.

http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=169

Then delete your HUD prefs file, to create a new file, and then import all your HUD configs, and setup the Use For: tab again.

1) Close HM and the Table Manager.
2) Delete your existing HUD Prefs files, so HM will rebuild them to default.
3) Delete > \Holdem Manager\Config\prefs.xml
4) Start HM< Auto Import, Open the Table Manager, and test on a single cash table.

I recall your HUD's being very similar, so I suggest making one significantly different (temporarily). Add the Abb. Name stat on it's own line, for one of the HUD's in question.

If you still believe they are not activating properly, for the appropriate games setup on the Use For: tab, let's setup a support session so I can see it happen on your machine.

Please email me at fozzy@holdemmanager.net, with a link to this thread, and your forum name, so we can schedule a Teamviewer session. Download the Teamviewer Quick Support Module - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/TeamViewerQS.exe. Please let me know what time zone you are in and what time/days are convenient for you.

Thanks for the advice, now my system is totally screwed. Btw, my problem was with tourney profiles, not cash profiles.

I exported the profiles, deleted the prefs.xml file, re-imported the two offending profiles (one with the abb name included) and now the two profiles are inexorably linked... moving HUD data on one profile moves it on the other profile... and no, holding down the CRTL key at the same time doesn't help.

I'm GMT+8 and retired so anytime you want to do a teamviewer let me know but pm with a couple of hours notice.

I am in the states (EST/GMT-5) so scheduling may be a little awkward.

Please email me at fozzy@holdemmanager.net, with a link to this thread, and your forum name, so we can schedule a Teamviewer session. Download the Teamviewer Quick Support Module - http://www.holdemmanager.net/teamviewer. I schedule support from 12:00 - 22:00 EDT, 7 days a week. If I need to stretch that a little to accommodate your schedule it's not a problem, or I can have one of the guys that are GMT/GMT+1 assist you.

So, we did a teamviewer that appeared to correct the problem, but alas did not. Fozzy, you were going to seek some expert advice; was a solution found?

I think not so my question now is, what's the best way to scrub all the profiles so I can start again?

No one else was able to reproduce it using the files.

To reset your HUD and HUD positions to default:

1) Close HM and the Table Manager. Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe
2) Export any custom HUD configs and Copy/Paste your \Config folder before deleting any files as a backup.
3) Delete your existing HUD Prefs files, so HM will rebuild them to default. If you have any custom HUD's export them first and/or copy the \config folder to back them up.
4) Delete > \Holdem Manager\Config\prefs.xml, pospref.txt, and pospref2.txt, and pospref4.txt.
5) Start HM< Auto Import, Open the Table Manager, and test on a single cash table.
