Is it really necessary to have UAC deactivated when using HEM? What happens if I activate UAC and run the programs as administrator, will that lead to import loss and such? I'm just wondering, because I hear a lot of people complaining about UAC, but I think it's a nice bonus for our security.

Edit: Sorry for the misleading title, couldn't find an option to edit it.

You can leave UAC on if you set the EXE's to run as admin. I personally find all the UAC warnings far more annoying than the 1 warning that I have UAC off.

Under Vista and Windows 7 make sure UAC is disabled http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=73 or else you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab. Windows 7 you MUST set all the executables to always run as admin.
