It is your average all-in expected value. If it is greater than 50% than you are typically going all in with the best hand.

Due to the difference in sample size.

here you have the 2 images that i say, and you can see in the second one that when i mark "all" hands i canīt see the correct images of the cards that the HM show when i mark "100" or "500" and the difference between the number of hands and \$ earned

That is done for performance reasons.

and the difference between the number of hands and \$ earned

Do you play more than one site? Which sites do you play? What timezone are you in? It is possibly caused by the times of the hand histories being different from your local time.

and this is ok?

yes

I am still unsure but I have forwarded it to my colleagues and the developer.

I would like to take a look at this in person. Please email me at fozzy@holdemmanager.net so we can schedule a Teamviewer session. Download the Teamviewer Quick Support Module - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/TeamViewerQS.exe. It does not need to be installed, as it can run directly from your Desktop/Directory. Please let me know what time zone you are in and what time/days are convenient for you.

Now i see that when i use the "overall" report its ok the number of hands played and the \$ earned but when i use the "summary winnings" i have the difference.
Then the time zone isnīt the problem, the problem maybe is the report.
Let me know what you need that i do according your last msg and this one.

Now i have a problem trying to "replay" the hands and the HM is telling me that email to support the hands histories.
This problem may have a relationship with the first one? i how i solve it?

tks again!

I was looking at the EV \$ Diff column in Cash Games with the Overall report.

All hands show 0 difference except for one where where I went all in and won.
It shows -\$2.93 and that makes me wonder how I could lose \$2.93 cents less than I should have since I went heads up all in against one other person.

Should other people have not folded so I could have got their money?

It's puzzling why all hands played show 0 difference except for one.

Obviously I don't understand that column at all.

Here are some threads explaining Equity and \$EV that may help:

Feel free to post the hand history if you want.

What I assume happened is you went all-in before the river, and when you did you were not favored to win. You managed to get lucky and win that hand. That means that you won more than your Expected Value. If you were to filter down to this particular table session and look at it on a graph, this hand would show your winnings going up and your All-In EV line going down at that point.

Here is a hand from an old nl10 session:

http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb176/fozzy71/HEM/hm-evdiffhh1a.png

I went all-in on the turn when I was a 4/1 dog.

http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb176/fozzy71/HEM/EVdiffgraph.png

This was actually my first hand at the table. :D

The difference is a -\$15.19 difference in my Expected Value at the point I went all in.

I wanted to take a look and make sure you were clearing all the filters, etc.

Please restate the problem, and post more screen shots, but make sure you dont crop the screen shots. We want to see the entire window.

It would also help if you could zip and email us the hands, from your \HMArchive folder, for this time period.

other question:

3bet is a % of the PFR ?

tks

Here are the majority of our stats.

http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=155
http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=89
http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=156

and take a look in the stats definitions at the end of the manual: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HoldemManagerManual.pdf

Preflop Raise

When someone raises Preflop, if someone 3bets this is also counted towards your PFR as well

Three Bet

This refers to preflop only where someone re-raises a raise. To explain the difference between prelop and postflop for the term 3bet. The BB is counted as a forced bet preflop, the open raise is then counted as a raise or 2nd bet and the 3bet is when someone re-raises. Post Flop the 1st bet is just a bet, the 2nd bet is a raise and a re-raise is sometimes referred to as a 3bet, just to be aware of the difference between the two.

where is the database?

fozzy71
12-17-2009, 05:20 PM
We don't want the database. That is composed of many files in the postgresql folder. We just want the original hands that are causing problems.

Your \HMArchive is likely not in your \Holdem Manager directory. We normally suggest you use C:\HMArchive, but you may have put it anywhere.

To verify the location: Options > Configure Auto Import Folders > Edit > Archive Folder: ___________________

Which Operating System? Is HM running as admin? If not, it may not be able to create that folder or move the hands.

have you tried searching your computer for 'hmarchives' or '.txt' files to search for the old hands?

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer (start > computer) and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right-click Properties the executables and select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab. If you have Vista and the checkboxes are greyed out and you can't select it, please turn UAC on, reboot, and then set the files to run as administrator.

- If your extensions are off you'll just see a file called holdemmanager.
- To attach it to a thread in the forums, look below the post reply button when you start a new thread and you'll see a manage attachments button.
- Click this and attach the file.

There is no need to upgrade from Postgresql 8.3 to 8.4

You find the latest HM Beta 1.10 Beta 6 in the header of the forum or in my signature. Please update and try again with some new hands.

Please come back if you still have problems with the newly imported hands.

i still have the same problem

Just for my understanding:

the problem you are talking about is that in the 1st report (Overall) you have 64703 hands and in the 2nd (Winnings summary) it is 62134 hands?

SkyWalker01
01-08-2010, 01:49 PM
the problem is in the "winning summary report" that doesnīt show the hand now or just a few ones
for instance: if i played 60000 hands in the month, in this report i mark "all hands" and just show 15 hands but if i go to "overall report" or go to "sessions" its ok

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.net/hmbetaupdate

*Try creating a new UTF DB - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=146
*Now import a small portion of your \HMArchive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=173
*If the new DB seems to work properly, you will want to import the rest of your archives to the new DB, export/import the hands from the old DB to the new DB, and export/import any player notes and tourney summaries - and then delete the old DB. - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=21

Make sure you export/backup everything before deleting the old DB - http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/showthread.php?t=20754
