Hi, I have had problems with the HM and Windows Vista and I decided to reformat the computer and install XP. I wish that would tell me the steps to successfully install the HM and has no problems. Information to download the HM and also if first install the Postgres or first HM. All necessary steps please. I never want to have problems at the facility or with HUD, etc.. I use a program for translation into English. Thank you.

Because they are instructions for anyone who needs them. If you dont have vista or w7 you obviously cant do those steps.

When I open the postsgres I have these options:
Postgresql8.3-msi; Postgresql8.3-int-msi; readme; setup; upgrade; vcredist_x86.

I try to execute Postgresql8.3-msi and a window goes out with this mistake:

It is not possible to open this package of installation.
Verify that the package exists and that it(he,she) can have access to he(it): or, put in touch with the supplier of the application to verify that it is a question of a valid package for windows installer.

Now that I do?

You need to extract the zip file fully into a temporary folder.

I eventually got uncompress the hard drive, but now I have a problem at the end of the installation that says this:

User postgres could not be created the user account already exists.

And then uninstall everything and says: Fatal Error Installation ended prematurely Because of an error.

And other question:

Do I need to install this program? Here you have not said to me anything of this:

Net Framework 3.5
Is it possible to owe the mistake to this?

thanks

*.net framework 3.5 is a standard Microsoft program which should be installed if you are doing regular Windows Updates and Service Packs

* The other message means that you already had a postgresql installed. You now need to delete the old postgres user:

click on Start and go to Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt

* If you are on Vista, rightclick and choose "Run as Administrator".

A black box should appear. Type 'net user postgres /del' (without the quotes) and press enter.

The user is now deleted and you can install PostgreSQL.

I put what you say to me:
Documents and settings\user = net user postgres \del and I pulsate intro and he(she) says to me:
The command has been completed correctly.

I have the doubt of if the bar is like that / or \.

But it(he,she) follows(continues) the same problem.

Great

What?

Use these instructions to reinstall postgresql - http://forums.holdemmanager.com/showthread.php?t=20755

Internal account lookup Faliure: There has been no mapping between account names and security IDs.

Now I do?

Are you sure you deleted the postgres user account AND all the leftover files from previous installations?

I finally managed to fix it, I've put the beta and the last update of postgres and fitted by me alone.
Thank you very much!
