Can someone please explain to me why the HEM bb/100 stat seems to be about twice as much as ptbb/100 stat? TIA

Hem uses big blinds (bb) and Poker Tracker uses Big Bets (BB). A Big Bet is twice as much as a Big Blind.

You can add BigBets to your reports

1 BB/100 = 1 ptbb/100 = 2 bb/100.

BB/100 is becoming the standard term I think for both NL and Limit.

So when people say winrates > 5BB/100 are great, I need to 2x my HEM bb/100 ?

Ie My HEM says my win rate right now is 4.95 bb/100, that's actually a very modest 2.5BB/100 is that correct?

Yes.

On the reports screen it shows your limits--- gamytype---hands---etc

Then the bb/100 category I see 9.56 (9.56/100) which is good but what does it mean? Does that have anything to do with Big Bets / hour books always refer to? IE "If your a 1 big pet per hour caliber player..."

Obviously a red number is a negative and losing player just looking for the actual definition...

It's how many big blinds you win every 100 hands.
