Hey guys.

My Holdem Manager always worked fine but now i'm experiencing some problems =\.

I'll post some screenshots and translate the error messages, due to the fact that my HEM is in portuguese.

Problem1:
http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/1425/problema1x.jpg

Translation: It's not possible to read data trough the transport connection. An existing connection was forced to close by the remote host.

Problem2:
http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/9274/problema2.jpg

Translation: An non processed exception ocorred in the application. If you click in continue the application will ignore this error and try to continue. If you click the application will be immediately closed.

It's not possible to read data trough the transport connection. An existing connection was forced to close by the remote host.

Problem3:
My hands database stopped to be recognized and when tried to import all the hands again just a few were imported. Besides that when i tried to import a friend of mine's hands they still weren't imported =\.

-------------------------------------------------------
Can you guys tell me if those are commom problems and if they are easy to fix?

Cheers[]

Under Vista and Windows 7 make sure UAC is disabled http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=73 or else you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab. Windows 7 you MUST set all the executables to always run as admin.

This is usually a firewall or windows update issue.

First try to delete the \postgresql\8.x\data\postmaster.pid file, if you see it, and reboot.

If no help, try this:

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Stop Service

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Start Service

Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=171

Please try following all of these FAQs, step by step:

1) http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=34
2) reinstall the same version of postgresql, using the same \data folder - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=177
3) http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/showthread.php?t=8261

For the DB issues, you may want to try a new DB, once you get HEM to be connected properly.
