I received this msg stating " A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows ill close the program and notify you if a solution is available". I attempted to fix it by turning off (UAC) and then restarting the pc. This problem occurs only half the time... the other half the time it starts no problem.

What firewall and anti-virus? If Kaspersky or Comodo try uninstalling it and rebooting to see if it cures it. W7 or Vista? What version of HM?

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe

Under Vista and Windows 7 make sure UAC is disabled http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=73 or else you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab. Windows 7 you MUST set all the executables to always run as admin.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=171

Make sure your video card drivers and windows auto updates are fully updated. Make sure you have Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 (or later for w7) installed.

Any further spyware / tune up / security software in use?
Special desktop themes?
Other programs which could cause the problem?
Your Windows is uptodate, latest service pack installed?

Can you see any details in the error message - screenshot?

Hi, as a test could you uninstall Mcafee and then try running it again a few times to verify that it is now working. If it is then try re-installing Mcafee using default install settings and see if it continue to work
