When I start HEM, import is already started. "Start Auto Import" is faded, and Stop Import is an active button. So, I click "stop Import", hoping to reset it, and have it work normally, but that just changes the text on the button to "stopping . . .", and it idles there until I close the program.

I'm having a lot of computer issues, so this might be something with my computer. But, do you have any idea on how to fix it, if it's an issue with the program?

its not an issue of your computer... at least not your computer exclusively.
I am waiting for a solution for 3 days now:

if you happen to solve the problem yourself, please post what you did.

Thx

Mike

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe

Under Vista and Windows 7 make sure UAC is disabled http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=73 or holdemmanager.exe, hmhud.exe, and dbcontrolpanel.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe, and the hmhud.exe executable and select "Run as admin" from the popup menu.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=171

Not the same thing. Your problems are caused by the mined hands and/or the large imports.

Maybe they are, but I also have the same problem cardsfan described with the auto import. since both the auto import and the large manual import freeze in the same way, I thought it was the same problem...

Then you must set all the programs to run as admin and/or turn off UAC as described.
