HM1: no, you'll have to wait for a HM1 update, but development on the HM1 ZOOM HUD won't start until tomorrow.

HM2: Zoom HUD is released in tomorrow's 6500+ build. Zoom hands can already be imported into 6470.

Today.
Check the HM2 releases subforum.
In one of the zoom threads you could submit for a beta version with the Zoom HUD yesterday.

I'm at 6483 and didn't downgrade to 6470. If I understand well, it means that when I'll start using the Zoom HUD, even if I played Zoom hands before (without a HUD), those hands will not have been tracked by version 6483 (my current version) for future importing?

If I downgrade to 6470 now, will I be able to import the already played Zoom hands?

Thanks in advance. Regards.

Zoom HUD is released: update to HM2: http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/Hm2_2.0.0.6518.exe

So let me get this straight according to what I've read in this thread:

1. The program I purchased (HM1) is still of use

2. A new program (HM2) has been released

3. HM2 is being updated prior to HM1?

4. The vast majority of HM2 users say that HM1 is better.

5. I'm being encouraged by your company to update to HM2 for additional money but HM1 is a better product; but you are putting your technical updates towards HM2 as a priority?

6. Poker Tracker, your major competition has already made an update to their program, which is a superior product to HM2?

Am I missing anything?

I just want to make sure before I take my business to poker tracker.

This was in response to "I'm at 6483 and didn't downgrade to 6470" of the previous post.

So let me get this straight according to what I've read in this thread:

1/2/3/4 You sound like users that still want to use Windows XP Service Pack 3, because they still think it's better than Windows Vista/Windowd 7.

5 You don't have to upgrade to HM2. HM1 will still get updates. Most updates (import issues due to a hand history formatting change) will be fixed for both simultaneously. Since HM1 and HM2 greaty differ in code, for Zoom it was decided to fix it for HM2 first.

6 PokerTracker also has problems with Zoom: https://www.pokertracker.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=39150
Adding support for zoom isn't flipping a magical switch. It takes a long time to write the code, test it, and fix bugs.

I'm also seriously disappointed.
I have bought both HM1 and HM2, but I choose to continue to use HM1 at this point and until HM2 is more mature and free of a few annoyances.

But to be fair to you costumers you had 2 choices, either consider HM2 to be an update to HM1 in which case you had to offer the product to HM1 buyers, or consider them separate products (whcih makes more sense to make a profit), but in which case you have to support both individually and mantain the quality of support for HM1.

You saying that "you will update HM1 only after you're done updating HM2" really hits my nerve. Different products different teams, or whatever you need. After HM2 release HM1 support is between weak to non-existant. I still have memory from the time where any hand history change or poker software update would not go unfixed for more than a few hours, very often less than 12h and always less than 24h. How long are we wating for zoom? I don't even play zoom, but for the recent microgaming update it was the same thing, and we got a late and buggy update that made me have to rebuild the whole DB.

Update to:
http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate_Release16Apr.exe

the HM1 update will perform a big database update when you run it.
So ignore any "not responding" error but wait for the program to unfreeze and the database update to finish.
Make sure you have enough free diskspace.
If you have a 40 GB database--> the database update would like 10 GB of free space (to use temporarily)
Run dbcontrolpanel.exe and create a new database, if you get an error upon startup.
