Hi,

Just updated HM with 1.09 beta and received this error after starting HM up:

An error occurred while loading the prefs files.Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Anyone recognizes this error and know what to do?
Cant start HM up now.

Thanks

1) Close HM and the Table Manager.
2) Delete your existing HUD Prefs file, so HM will rebuild it to default.
3) Delete > \Holdem Manager\Config\prefs.xml
4) Start HM< Auto Import, Open the Table Manager, and test on a single cash table.

Make sure your HEM is updated to 1.09 beta 43 and the table manager is 1.09.38. If it isnt:

1) Clear your web cache, and download the beta update again, from the link in my signature, with another browser if possible.
2) Right-Click > Save Link As to save it to a different folder.
3) Reboot, and run the installer first thing.
4) Make sure the update is installing to the proper \holdem manager folder

I deleted the prefs files.
Are the hud pref files that you mention the same as pref.xml?
Cause cant find the hud pref files.

Any way after deleting prefs.xml i still get the error and HEM wont start.

Im using an older verdion of HEM 1.04 and updated it with the newest update.
Maybe thats the problem?

Try a clean reinstall.

1) Make a backup of your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder, and any other important files mentioned earlier.
2) Uninstall HM with www.revouninstaller.com using the Deep setting.
3) If given the option, on the 2 following screens of Revo, choose the Select All > Delete buttons to remove any registry entries and leftover files.
4) Reboot your computer
5) Install the complete setup of HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/holdemmanager.zip
6) Download the latest patch HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe
7) Test if it for a while and see if it work
8) Close down Holdem Manager and rename the current, working \config folder to \config_original. Now copy your \config folder from step 1 and paste it to your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\ fodler, to replace the one you just renamed.
9) Test if it works again for a while
10) If your old config folder causes problems, you can paste the contents of the \config_original folder back in.

It was emailed to you originally. if you dont have the email, and cant retrieve it from a running installation, Please email your details to sales@holdemmanager.net and make sure you explain the code is completely lost and you need it reset.

Please try using our registration system to register your current/new license. Then you will be able to retrieve or reset your own license, as needed. http://www.holdemmanager.net/Registration/

To get your current license from your running installation of HEM: Help > Show Serial Number

You will need to sign up, login, and then change your code, then logout/login, to get the new code.

Thanks Fozzy its working now. Seems that the deep uninstall worked.

Got some other problems now. Hopefully you can help me out with that as well.

1.Is there a way to get my stats appear automaitically next to the right player?
Cause all stats are appearing randomly on the screen.

2. when i move my stats on 1 table, the stats on other tables are moving too.
How can i get to work this properly?

Some sites may be slightly different, but if you play FTP/Stars, and use preferred seating:

1) Close HM and the Table Manager.
2) Delete your existing position files, so HM will rebuild them to default.
3) Delete > \Holdem Manager\Config\pospref.txt and pospref2.txt.
4) Start HM< Auto Import, Open the Table Manager, and open 1 cash table.
5) Use Ctrl Right-Click Drag to move the panels Move the main/first panel for each player first. This is the panel with the Note Icon (asterisk).
6) Once the main panel is in the proper position, you can position any hud sub-panels for each player.
7) Once they are set, go to Table Manager > File > Save Positions.
8) Close that table, open a new one, and sit to play.

hud options > tables preferences > [ ] WYSIWYG off
