HM is importing duplicate hands and thats not only slowing my computers performance but also HUD statistics are delaying due to too much duplicate hands. Need Help.

I play 180 man sit'n'go on pokerstars. Have win7 and latest trial of HM1

Tried every thing mentioned in this thread:

http://forums.holdemmanager.com/manager-general/152291-hem-importing-duplicate-hands-lot-them.html

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall for holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe, even if the firewall is turned off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily.

Make sure your video card drivers and windows auto updates are fully updated. Run a manual Windows Update and install all updates, including all .net framework updates./

Try creating a new database: Options--> Database Management--> Connect--> Create New Database--> (set it as default)--> Start HoldemManager

Nothing works. Here is my HM config file.

Also I have noticed that when I start a game, pokerstars in HH folder create file with name like "HHxxxxx Txxxxxxxx No limit Hold'em" which stores that games HH's.
When I play 1st hand, its ok, HM says no duplicate hands, because in that file there is only one hand, then when I play my 2nd hand, it adds up in that HH file and HM imports both hands, creating 1 duplicate hand and so on...

One more thing is that while I'm playing there are no new files appearing in archive folder, atleast in couple of minutes after tourney finished, but I guess thats supposed to be like that.

Update to: HM1: http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate_Release_1.12.10_13Mar2011.exe
Is PokerStars saving the hands to C:/Hands?

Do the archive folders:
C:/Ultrahands and
C:/archivehands
both exist?

Which PostgreSQL version are you using?

What are your machine's specs? How many tables do you play at once?

I notice in the config file you are not importing tournament summaries (unless they are saving to the same path as your hand history files in the pokerstars options).

Stars did not write the tourney summaries to your hard drive in the past, like FTP did. They recently added this feature, so please enable the option in the PokerStars client and add the folder to your Auto Import Folder Configuration.

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/441/Poker+Stars+Tournament+Summary+Setup

Email support@pokerstars.com and ask for ALL your old Hand Histories and Tournament Histories/Summaries.

They will send you an email with links to zip files of your hand histories. Download all the zip files. Right-Click > Extract the contents of each zip file to a new folder. HM > Import From Folder for all of the unzipped hands.

The tournament summaries should be attached to the email as .htm files. Download the attachments. HM > Import File(s) for all of those files. It will probably ask you to search/select your Pokerstars screen name. If the files are sent as .html you will need to rename them (Right-Click > Rename) from .html to .htm extensions.

That is normal behavior until the hand history files have been archived.

See if it helps to edit your config file manually.

C:\Program Files (x86)\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config\HoldemManager.Config

<setting name="ArchiveHandTime">15</setting>

Try changing that to 5 minutes instead of 15.

Please update/downgrade to the latest public version 1.12.09 - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

*Try creating a new UTF DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/75/Create+%7B47%7D+Delete+Database

Please update to the latest beta version version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate_Release_1.12.10_19Mar2011.exe

*Now import a small portion of your \HMArchive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/98/How+to+Import+%26+Export+Hands

*If the new DB seems to work properly, you will want to import the rest of your archives to the new DB, export/import the hands from the old DB to the new DB, and export/import any player notes and tourney summaries - and then delete the old DB.

*Make sure you export/backup everything before deleting the old DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/372/Reinstalling+on+a+new+PC+-+Backup+Tips

The import tab will always say it is importing duplicates because multiple hands get written to the same hand history file. Once the file gets archived it will quit scanning the duplicates from that file but a new file will be created and it will start scanning more/new duplicates. These duplicates should normally not cause any performance problems.

The only way to limit the number of duplicates that get scanned is to reduce the minutes between archiving in the config file like I explained earlier by manually editing the config file. It is possible that even editing this config file wont get you the results you want because the pokerstars client may be locking the files and they wont get archived until you close the pokerstars client while leaving the auto importer running.
