Hi, I had problems after making an update to beta 41 and had to reinstall all HM, I get this message now:

I use win. xp and kaspersky 2010, I tried everything with uninstalling with Revo, and installing postgress and HM from the beginning, can't use my HM for 2 weeks already and it's really frustrating :mad:

The problem isnt HEM related, so revo wont help. It also isnt Kaspersky related, although there have been other recent issues with Kaspersky. The problem there would be lingering false-positive warnings about our old xenocode software.


This is usually a firewall or windows update issue.

First try to delete the \postgresql\8.x\data\postmaster.pid file, if you see it, and reboot.

If no help, try this:

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Stop Service

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Start Service

Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=171

If that doesn't help you will probably have to reinstall PostgreSQL completely and reimport your hands.
