I just tried to open up HEM and received the following error messages (what was of the most concern is that all my info was gone and under 'players' it had 0 listed)

Please help.

DB connection errors are typically firewall or windows updates related.

First try to delete the \postgresql\8.x\data\postmaster.pid file, if you see it, and reboot.

If no help, try this:

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Stop Service

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Start Service

Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=171

Please try following all of these FAQs, step by step:

1) http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=34
2) reinstall the same version of postgresql, using the same \data folder - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=177
3) http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/showthread.php?t=8261

If that doesn't help you will probably have to reinstall PostgreSQL completely and reimport your hands.

I did just install a windows update. I disabled my firewall, and now HEM is importing fine and the HUD is working. I think I just need to re-import my hand history from FT.

Like I said before everything is working now. All my old data from before is gone though. Only like the last 200 hands are saved. So am I SOL?

*Try creating a new UTF DB - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=146
*Now import a small portion of your \HMArchive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=173
*If the new DB seems to work properly, you will want to import the rest of your archives to the new DB, export/import the hands from the old DB to the new DB, and export/import any player notes and tourney summaries - and then delete the old DB. - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=21

Alright, everthing's been working the past few days, since my latest windows update today, nearly all of my hands for the past few days (since I last had this problem) are missing. What gives?

Hi,

the screenshots are indicating a damaged database. Did you have any computer crashes or bluescreens lately? You should be able to recreate your database by importing your archive folder (Default location is C:\HMArchive).

If you are playing on FullTilt and/or PokerStars, just email them and they will re-send you the hands.
