Hello,

I just downloaded an update and I'm told I need to register again. I tried rebooting and no luck. I also followed the links that pop up when I open Hem and have tried to register Hem again. However it won't let me type into the Licence code box. Ahhhhh!

I wish I hadn't downloaded the update as this is uber annoying. Please help.

Barry.

First of all, we need to enable the option to see Hidden Files: How to see hidden files in Windows (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial62.html)
http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/images/hidden.jpg
Problems Registering Holdem Manager:

Delete C:\ProgramData\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses\HoldemManager.lic (XP Users can find the file at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\AppData\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses\HoldemManager.lic)

This is a hidden SYSTEM file. (not just a regular hidden file)

Also please try this:

1. Create a new text document in the Config folder and name it LicDebug
2. Open HM and register
3. Close HM and delete the LicDebug.txt file

That will enable you to enter the serial key again.

After trying and more trying it finally let me register in the usual way.

However now Hem just freezes everytime (at the point when you get the first small hem pop up window, before the program has fully launched) when i try to open it .

Please help? can I just get rid of the update?

HM doesn't freeze, its just running a database upgrade in the background (which the popup should tell you). Depending on your database size this can take some minutes to hourse during which windows says "not responding..."
