I am figuring this out for several hours now and I am becoming nuts of this. Who Can please help me?

I have version 1.09 beta 41.

This is what I did so far.

I checked this out and everything on there I have as well.


So I tried to open a new database:

But this is what I saw, when I wanted to add a new database.

I also tried to enter my hero name as explained in this link:

But that won't work I don't know why whenever I highlight my name and press select I see this:

I run it on a mac using parallels windows XP completely up to date.

Could someone please help me out?

Does the Players tab say 'Players (0)'?

If it cant find your hands, you need to import some old hands or play a few new hands.


If it finds your name when searching,a nd then gives this error, I am confused to.

I have windows XP and don't have windows defender. So I did everything they asked for in firewall. And now this shows up whenever I open HEM.

Right now while I didn't do anything else I saw this

If you have the latest beta, the hands are importing, and you have the HUD displayed, you should be all set. Those screen shots are much too small to see anything, but it sounds like things are working now.

Yesterday it worked but today when I wanted to start up a game this occured.

I clicked on the HEM shortcut and it wouldn't connect.

After pressing a couple of times to connect I saw this messages as well.

Please help me out. I was so happy it finally worked yesterday I didn't changed anything so I really don't know why it doesn't work today while yesterday it does.

This is usually a firewall blocking communication between hem and the postgresql DB.

First try to delete the \postgresql\8.x\data\postmaster.pid file, if you see it, and reboot.

If no help, try this:

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Stop Service

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Start Service

Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, uninstall it completely before installing HM/SQL - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=171

Thanks I had to delete that postgress file you said and it work now. But when I Play 6 tables the HUD really bothers me as I can't see how many chips I have and how many players there are in the hand.

Please tell me that there is something to fix this problem... I really want to use this program but I can't play like this

I can't play like this. I allready pissed some tournies away because of this. I cant see how many chips I have and I can't see how many players are in the hand because of this. Also can't see villain's hand when allin. This is so frustrating!

What can I do?

right-click+drag or ctrl+right-click+drag to move them around.

u can also try: hud options > player preferences > appearance >

change the font size/style

[x] scale font, to make the panels smaller if you always play on tiled tables

I would like to have my HUD displayed exactly like this one from the picture.

I can drag thet HUD as you told me earlier. But I can't drag 'per line' like the HUD on the picture. How do I do that?

You need to insert "new panels" for every separate line if you want to have them handled separately. http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=134

It wants you to select the postgresql installer file. It is defaulting to the location where the installer was when you first installed.

Download this:

http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/postgresql.zip

Right-Click > Extract to a new folder

Now when you get that message you want to browse to this new folder and select the designated file.

When I browse to that folder it wants me to choose one of those programs:

My apologies. It is looking for the holdem manager setup file, not the postgresql file. I didnt look at your first screen shot close enough.

Download and unzip this file.

Now try that process again.

I requested my complete tournament history from fulltilt. The file is 19MB and is about 12K hands. And it seems that HEM has trouble importing them.

It goes like 1,2,3 till 10 0f 10 large files have been processed. And then starts over and over again while I don't see any changes in HEM when looking at tourney results.

And how does HEM knows that I ended up in the money from only a handhistory and also knows about the exact payouts? Because now it only looks like I never ended in the money. Which isn't true.

Usually FTP writes a summary file of the tourney when you bust out of it. Thats where we get the information from.

I suggest you mail the summary to support@holdemmanager.net. Please add a link to this thread and your forum nick.

I wanted to install holdem manager on another computer and reset the software from the old computer. But it won't install on my new computer. Saying the license has been modified.

Support told me to do this.

"Enable the options to see Hidden Files and System Protected Files: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial62.html

1. Delete C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\holdemmanager.exe.ldat (Program Files (x86) if you have the 64bit version)

2. Delete C:\ProgramData\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses\HoldemManager.lic (XP Users can find the file at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\AppData\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses\HoldemManager.lic)

3. Update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe

If you can't find those files, DO NOT delete any other files with similar names.

Please send your Reg.log from the C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Logs folder to support@holdemmanager.net.


Please try using our registration system to register your current/new license. Then you will be able to retrieve or reset your own license, as needed. http://www.holdemmanager.net/Registration/

To get your current license from your running installation of HEM: Help > Show Serial Number

You will need to sign up, login, and then change your code, then logout/login, to verify it was reset."




I did that all. But still I get the same error. What could I do now?
