Microgaming import problems [moved from prima hud thread]

hey guys , i almost didnt had any issue on microgaming , there was an update today and i made a session , i made around +200 and Hm2 shows i breakeven , so i guess there is problem with hands importing?
is there anyway to fix it , or related to the gamehistory.dat ? i didnt had this issue until the recent update

I moved your post from the other thread as it is a bit of a different issue and I didn't want to derail that thread.

Which skin are you playing? It sounds like they might have changed something in the hand history format but they dont change their .dat file often.

Uncheck "Import from Subfolders" in the auto-import settings.

Move the gamehistory.dat file to your \hm2archive folder and import it via Import From File(s) to a new database to see if it imports more accurately.

Try a new session with auto-import. A new handhistory file should be generated.

If you continue to have problems, please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to hm2support@holdemmanager.com

All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM2Archive is in C:\HM2Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31).

We will need you to send us the .dat files for testing so we can try to determine why they aren't being imported and implement a fix.

The developer is working on a fix for this problem but the cause of the discrepancies is very unusual. Because of how unusual the change is, and the fact that only some of the skins have updated so far, it is going to take the developer some additional time to make sure his fixes will work for all skins.

If you want to be notified when it is fixed please send an email to support@holdemmanager.com and include "Notify Me When HM-4355 Is Resolved" in the subject line and body of the email.

Please select cash reports, close and restart HM2 - does the issue persist? This appears to be linked to a known issue that is being investigated.

The new window is linked to the table scanner which is currently available for everyone to use while it is in Beta.

Can you please give us some further details on the missing hands. Are these missing hands ones you are playing now and/or old hands from before the update you are trying to import? What gametype(s) are you having problems with? Cash and/or SNG/MTT? Regular and/or Anonymous tables?

It sounds like your database was damaged somehow.

I cut/pasted that game history file to hmarchive folder, but nothing happened. I had that same problem with those winning hands that I can´t see them on my HEm. Know HEm is working well but still I miss those hands and my graphs don't be correct in this month. HAve won lot of more than it shows.

I have HM1 and I imported that file using import file(s). Only 3200 duplicates was the result.

It was working fine according to our testing and feedback (or lack thereof) until today's update at 5050 that changed the hand history format. The other skins will soon update as well.

Just a clarification here, we would love to inform HM well in advance every time there is an update on its way. However, we are not informed when those updates are to be deployed. There is not any Microgaming skin with uniqe updates (might be some exceptions, but definately not on 5050poker), all updates will apply to all skins. However, HM do are usually very fast to fix issues when they occur, so as soon as we have experienced problems, HM has fixed it, so when other skins have got the very same update, it has been working fine for all players.

We have been first in line for new deployments for quite a while, but as we have complained, we will from now on be in the in the middle of the deployment schedule.

We are in contact with HM staff and Microgaming. Microgaming claims to have informed HM in advance, and if there is anything whatsoever we as a skin can do, we will obviously assist HM in that.

The update runs a database update which may need more than 10 minutes if your database is large or your computer slow. Just let it run overnight and make sure to have enough free space on your HDD.

If you can't get past that error you may need to create a new database and import your original hands to rebuild your database.

Manually run the \rvg software\holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe > connect > create new database

*Now import your \HMArchive - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/98/How+to+Import+%26+Export+Hands

All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HMArchive is likely not in your \Holdem Manager directory. We normally suggest you use C:\HMArchive, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31).

Move the gamehistory.dat file your \hmarchive folder and import it via Import From File(s).

Try a new session with auto-import. A new handhistory file should be generated.

HEM1 and HEM2 both seem to be importing, but i still can't get the hands from HEM1 into HEM2. I've imported HMArchive and another file (C:\converted which i sent a lot of hand histories to). I imported the gamehistory.dat file but that only contained the hands i've played very recently.
So, as it stands, i can't get the vast majority of hands that i've played on microgaming over the past year or so.

I was able to complete the update however I would like to import the missing hands from the past week that weren't imported. On Stan James, I requested hand histories from the past week saved them in a text file however when I try to import that file, they are not read. How can I get these hands imported?

the HM1 update will perform a big database update when you run it.
So ignore any "not responding" error but wait for the program to unfreeze and the database update to finish.
Make sure you have enough free diskspace.
If you have a 40 GB database--> the database update would like 10 GB of free space (to use temporarily)
Run dbcontrolpanel.exe and create a new database, if you get an error upon startup.

Unfortunately it sounds like your old database had problems and was not able to complete the update process.
