There is no general problem with windows 7 we know about.
Which HM version?
Which virus scanner?
3rd Party firewalls?
Microsoft .net framework 3.5 service pack 1 installed?
Are you running holdemmanager.exe, hmhud.exe and dbcontrolpanel.exe as administrator?

Hi, are you using Kaspersky Virus Scan? if so,

* Go into the KAV settings window.
* Navigate to the Service node.
* Here, turn on the Compatibility mode for programs using self-protection option.

Try this

This solved the issue for me:

1) Download the beta update again with another web browser.
2) Right-Click > Save Link As to save it to a different folder.
3) Reboot, and run the installer first thing.
Or this

Close HEM and your anti-virus and delete any \xenocode\appliance cache folders and any other possible false positive files.

1. Enable "Show hidden files and folders" under Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View
2. Go to C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Xenocode\Appli ance Cache and delete every folder you can find in there

* Go into the KAV settings window.
* Navigate to the Service node.
* Here, turn on the Compatibility mode for programs using self-protection option.

Empty your recycle bin.

reboot

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe

Are you using beta 41 now and still getting the virus warnings? Did you do the instructions I posted for Kaspersky? Have you tried uninstalling kaspersky, deleting the xenocode, and reinstalling kaspersky?

Use an alternative AVP for now. I recommend Avira, AVG, or MS Security Essentials as free alternatives.

I tried all that and it did not work. I even uninstalled my antivirus program, that did not work. The only thing that I get to work was going back to release 38. (40 nor 41 worked.)

Beta 42 is the same error:confused:. I have uninstalled holdem manager as I have spent too much time on it already. Thanks for the trial, and too bad it did not work out. Good luck!

Hi,

I think the problem is related with Comodo firewall.
I had the same problem, disabled the firewall and now it works.
