Hi

I can't install the postgre SQL and i get this masseges

I think the problem is my VISTA. I read the FAQ and forums, but not work.

Please make sure that UAC is switched off before the installation and you have administrator rights.

I have also been having problems with downloading the PostreSQL programme.
Have loaded,un-installed,re-loaded,and keep getting stuck in the same place.
Just one operation from the end,this message appears-
"The PostgreSQL data directory must be on an NTFS formatted volume.
If you wish to install the data directory on another type of partition,(which is not recommended,and is unsupported) you must initialize the database cluster manually by running initdb.exe."
This is getting very frustrating.
Does anybody know what the hell this means,and how to get rid of it?
Any possitive comments would help.

Ok,I think I have it.
My computer is 6 years old.
Do I need to install some NTFS software onto it?
