Hi,

I just watched the Video that's supposed to explain the EV

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/120/EV+Explained

and at about 13:40 it gets into ICM detail and he explains $EV Diff for each outcome in an AIPF.

He proceeds to select the ev result given for 5 stack

I dont understand the meaning for different stacks and not their ordering from 0 to 7 as well.

WHat does that mean?

Pic you posted there are 2700 chips in total.
So it's probably a super turbo SNG with 9 players. Startstack of each player is 300 chips.
Buyin is $1.25 + $0.15 rake (or something similar to that).

That means, in the first hand of the game (9 players left): 300 chips has a value of $1.25.
As players are eliminated the "$1.25" of value of the eliminated players is distributed among the remaining players.
Note: it's not evenly distributed!: 600 chips doesn't automatically mean $2.50 equity or 1 chip is $0.00416 (1.25/300th).
Example if you're already in the money. And 3th place pays $2.25.
Even if you only have 1 chip, you'll still have $2.25 equity (since you're guaranteed to win that).

In the pic you posted A9 vs AJ go allin against each other.
There are three scenario's:
A9 (=player 5) wins doubling up (22.6898% chance)
A9 loses, and is eliminated (69.4718%)
The hand results in a SPLIT POT: 7.8384%

Player's 5 equity is (based on the Independent Chip Model)
(22.6898% * $2.45) + (69.4718% * $0) + (7.8384% * .. can't see this value in the screenshot. let's as an example say it's $1.25)--> so the FINAL equity is +$0.65

If Player 5 loses the hand: he is eliminated, losing his $1.25 buyin, but he is awarded $0.65 in EV Diff.
If player 5 wins the hand, it's still uncertain whether or not he'll make it into the money, but the hand results in a -$1.80 EV Diff ($0.65-$2.45)
If there is a split pot, etc. etc.

The Luck Adjusted Winnings at the end of game (resulting in your Luck Adjusted Winnings graph) is the: outcome of the game + the SUM of all the EV Diffs.

Thanks. That helped me comprehend it.
