I received approx 250k hands off my m8 which i transferred into my holdem manager , it took about 5 hours to load them in , but ever since it is still transferring files . It has now been 80 hours . Is this normal and is there any way to find out how much is still left to transfer .

You should see a progress bar with this information.
I suggest you stop the import, move the files to a different folder and import them in portions via import file or import from folder.
