Hi,
I got this program on recommendation of a friend. anyway, i tried to find my hand histories thru the in-program browser and it failed.
because of this, i just added the entire folder that i knew it was a subfolder of, if that makes sense.
Anyway, that seemed to work ok as far as finding some hands goes, but it also decided it'd be pretty cool if it moved a bunch of files into the processed hands folder.
is this a serious problem? how can I remedy it, what steps should be taken , etc
thanks
david

What site and what folder couldnt you find?
If you can't see it, turn off the windows option that is hiding that directory. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial62.html
Please attach your holdemmanager.config file from C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder.
- If your extensions are off you'll just see a file called holdemmanager.
- To attach it to a thread in the forums, look below the post reply button when you start a new thread and you'll see a manage attachments button.
- Click this and attach the file.

heres the config file you asked for.
I'm kind of worried as half of the programs on my computer are not exactly working, and things seem to be disappearing.
should i delete the program off my computer?
please help.
thanks

That config file is blank, like its a brand new installation.
What site are you playing?

Search the FAQs for your poker site and follow the setup guide.

I don't think you understood my question.
To import the hands I selected an entire folder, containing multiple files.
HEM incorrectly identified a lot of files as poker hand histories, and therefore processed them in an undesirable way and moved them.
This is causing my computer a LOT of problems and they are seemingly getting worse.
I ask again, how can I make it so the files are back where they were, and my computer can get reordered, and should I delete HEM off my computer?
Thanks

Doing what you said it shouldnt move the files normally. It is only supposed to archive files during the auto import process. Our default archive path is C:\hmarchive.
Your \HMArchive is likely not in your \Holdem Manager directory. We normally suggest you use C:\HMArchive, but you may have put it anywhere.
To verify the location: Options > Configure Auto Import Folders > Edit > Archive Folder: ___________________

Your config file you posted is blank tho. It may have been corrupted somehow.
<setting name="AutoImportFolderList">
</setting>
<setting name="LastArchiveFolder"></setting>
There are no auto import or archive folders setup.

To get all your missed hands imported
1) Right-Click your Desktop > New > Folder.
2) Go to your \HMArchive folder - To verify the path, go to Options > Configure Auto Import Folders > Edit > Archive Folder: _________.
3) Open that folder and copy the hands (folders of hands) you think it has missed. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31). Also get any hand files that are in your \poker site\hand history folder.
4) Paste them into your new desktop folder > HM > Import From Folder.

Hello,
Here I have attached a picture demonstrating the fact that HEM has MOVED 100s of files that are NOT hand histories to my HEM HH archive folder.
I want to REVERSE this effect, restoring my files to their original locations.
I do NOT need to know how to import hand histories, I know how to do that.
Would a system restore would help fix this problem?
David

A system restore probably will help.
