Hey

I have come to conclusion it is impossible to 25 table with HUD and NC on. I was wondering will it improve near future because it really sucks there is times when i make decision and click the button it takes me around 0.25sec and i have do wait another 1sec when it is done. And the suggestions that you give everytime when someone complains about performance (allow Hem rough firewall, rum hem as admin, what kind of anti virus are you using, view this 10 performance tips, send us log file) is coming joke around here. And tell me that my PC is slow (Intel SSD, 8GB RAM ,Phenom2 4x625 2,8GHz) and i will update it. I am professional player and i play 8h in day and i want do to my job as good as possible. Bottom line is i want to know when you get this soft running and be honest or do i have to go back to HEM1 and if you think that the issue is in my system then i demand Skype session that we can fix this problem?

NB? There is not a day that goes by that i don't get really angry:mad: about this soft it is even more tilting than loosing.......and if there is anyone out there that feels the same we should bump up this threat until they fix it.........

Cheers

I 24 table every day with HM2 not having ANY performance issues.

Re-read:
http://forums.holdemmanager.com/manager-general/11194-top-10-hem-performance-increase-tips.html,
and http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/1501/What+can+be+done+if+HUD+is+lagging%3F

Update the firmware of your SSD, update mainboard driver updates, edit the PostgreSQL.config file, etc. etc.

What's the size of your database? (approximately how many hands in the database?)

Do you have similar performance issues when you
-1 don't run Notecaddy
-2 change the hud options--> config properties--> auto z-order

Saluupa

auto z-order is on should i turn it off

Patvs

Yes, try turning it off.

Also update your videocard driver with the latest beta update from AMD Catalyst / nVidia

Turning auto z-order off defiantly made thing faster but it isn't as fast as i wuld like it to be.

Maybe there is something more that i can do ?

I have to bump this thread. The OP sounds like I wrote it myself, exact same situation and experience.

I also have to say that HEM support - guys like Patvus and DogNamedBluff are awesome - and I really do appreciate your guys hard work.

On the flip side it is very frusterating the HEM support won't aknowledge that there is undoubtably a performance issues with HEM 2. It would be nice to have this acknowldeged and hear that something is being done about it and that it will get better in "x" amount of time. My computer tears through anything including HEM 1 , which I have used recently without having to do all these complicated and time consuming performance steps.

In the meantime, I will continue to work with guys in HEM support to do anything I can to get the best performance out of HEM 2.

Cheers,

also here is a link to my performane thread: http://forums.holdemmanager.com/general-support/196431-hem-2-slow-choppy-laggy-help.html#post973141

did the suggest steps, got it working better for a couple days , but then today it is slower than ever.

is this what i have to look forward too? downloaded the free trial today. would like to purchase while i still have bonus credit but omg it has crashed 3 times already and i haven't even made it to the tables.

the new program sucks. was very happy with HEM1 and would have paid an extra yearly/monthly service fee to use the program.
you guys should have started charging for updates if money was the motivation for this god-awful upgrade that is in reality a down grade. :(

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\holdemmanager.exe, hudfuncsapp.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager2 installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall for those files even if the firewall is turned off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily.

Run a manual Windows Update and install all updates, including all .net framework updates.

windows7, windows firewall, norton. dl & installed windows updates and HM update, set to run as admin and disabled user account control. i forgot to add those files to the firewall but i did have holdem manager added and checked.
after all that it seems worse. when opening a black box appears behind the cover. i tried clicking to bring to front to see if it had an error code but couldn't.

uninstalled the program for now.

@saluupa: can you run a benchmark with CrystalDiskMark. What are your 4k read/write speeds of the harddisk?

@deathcard: what sort of error code?

When there is a crash, please sent your full log.txt file, located in the following folder to hm2support@holdemmanager.com:

Windows 7: C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\

XP: c:\documents and settings\{username}\appdata\HoldemManager

When lagging occurs, play for 2 minutes with the lagging. Close HM2, please sent your full log.txt file, located in the following folder to hm2support@holdemmanager.com:
