I am currently using the trial version of HM. The second time I run it, I get the following:

The following error occured when trying to open the database: Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

So what does this mean??? How do I get past???

did some research and I think im on my way to fixing, I don't think the service was started.....I must say this: So far I am super impressed by everything at HM. I still have to do some things to get up and running before I purchase, but shouldn't be long

Or not, even after starting the service. I cant connect.

I get directed to the " Database Control Panel." Even when I click connect from that menu I get another error. "Connection Error: Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host."

And then a lot more mumble jumpble follwoing that error

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP???????

First try a simple reboot.

If no help, try this:

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Stop Service

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Start Service

Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, uninstall it completely before installing HM/SQL - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=171

Please try following all of these FAQs, step by step:

If that doesn't help at all we may want to schedule a remote support session to assist you.
