Hi have used HM for about six month and it have been working without any problems. When I started the program today it said,
The following error occured when trying to open the database: Failed to establish connection to "127.0.0.1" and then my virus program, avast says is a virus on C:\Documents and Settings\Burström\Lokala inställningar\Application Data\Xenocode\ApplianceCaches\HoldemManager.exe_v5 12D2084\Native\STUBEXE\@APPDIR@\DBControlPanel.exe
Suggestions on what i should do?

the connection error is usually firewall related and the xenocode error is a false-positive virus warning.

Try update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe

Then disable or try a different anti-virus.

Have the exact same problem. Just uninstalled my antivirus, but no luck....

Which exact problem? Failed to establish connection? The anti-virus wont help that issue. If you uninstalled antivirus, to get rid of the false positives, you need to reboot after.

Yeah I had both problems, the failure to establish connection error message + anti-virus message. I uninstalled anti-virus completely, rebooted, turned firewall off and now I just keep getting the failure to establish connection to server message.

I'm getting the same problem. Trying to do stuff with my anti-virus but it's not even on as best I can tell.

I try clicking on http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe and I get a message that says it "could not be saved because an unknown error has occurred. try saving in a different location."

But I can't figure out how to save in a different location either.

Hi, I installed the latest version of HM and deleted the postmaster.pid file. I can start HM now but I still get a virus message C:\Documents and Settings\Burström\Lokala inställningar\Application Data\Xenocode\ApplianceCaches\HoldemManager.exe_v4 1BF0FF4\TheApp\STUBEXE\@APPDIR@\HMImport.exe
What should I do? Do I have to uninstall my virus program?? Cause I kind of want it running...
