Im really disappointed with HM2 .

Today it started with a fatal error.Simply doesnt start.Opens a dialog box like windows xp bugs asking if i want send a report.

Apart from this (when it was working) some hands i couldnt see on the replay.Somes hands were missing....and while i was playing some error appears asking to continue , or to ignore.

We need to be poker players or be IT specialists?

This version seems to be a beta version with lots of problems.Instead of studying poker strategies, i need to study the tricks about trying to put this buggy software working normally.

Im really sick of it.sorry to be honest.I already lost hours and hours trying to understand what is wrong.

I have a decent PC with 4GB of ram, and it runs everything very smoothly , but not HM2

Instead of selling this, you could improve HM1 wich works better.

The buggines and slowness is really an issue of this software but i think the staff are working really hard on making it better and faster. Just have tried PT4beta but don't like it. The best tracking software so far is HEM1 IMO. I play 140 SNG in a day and have one crash every day it is very tilting when you have 30 tables of turbo SNGS going and your PC suddenly complete freezez. Tried to contact support have send them tons of logfiles but no help so far.........

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\holdemmanager.exe, hudfuncsapp.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager2 installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall for those files even if the firewall is turned off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily.

Run a manual Windows Update. Install all the .net framework updates!

This sounds exactly like the same thing I experience with HM2 and my PC is more high end than yours, with 8GB RAM, Quadcore processor and dedicated SSD drive for Postgres. Still I get these tilting lags, extreeeeme sluggishness in the Replayer and when switching/loading reports, sessions. Just about doing anything in HM2 feels like it's a severe burden on the entire system, even single clicks and menu selections but it doesn't show up in the performance meter and I have uninstalled, reinstalled, updated just about everything imaginable except for the OS itself.

I have done the .net clean/reinstall routine and fresh Postgres HM2 installs about a dozen times and I wonder why this standard response gets posted over and over again while there are obviously multiple users for whom that does not do anything towards solving the problem which must be rooted in HM2 itself rather than .net, user account control, firewalls or any other stuff you could possibly blame this on.

Man....this why i hate this things.people buy your software, waste a lot of time trying to put something that was supposed to work.Seems like piracy software which we need to find cracks and serial number generators, and even so..it doesnt work.

I have no antivirus and no firewall....simply on the next day is stopped to work.I work with cisco routers and i have to think too much about it.Thats why i buy legal software for not breaking my head with this buggy things.

I dont have to send any log to any one....has y can see , many people is complaining...so it was better for y to do all the tests y needed before selling it.

Never again im going to buy your software. This is and irresponsible attitude from a company like yours.

This is a complete joke. I've been trying to get this to work for 2 days straight, have spoken to 3 different tech support people, sent log.txt files, followed every step suggested and had to restart my computer about 10 times and it still doesn't work. Great start to my purchase, will be asking for a refund if you don't sort this out and quick

Here here to all the complaints in here - an absolute disgrace since October and it seems to me the software writers have lost their way and are just trying to bluff their way through.

Am so disappopinted after such a promising start

You always give the same standard advice anyways which only seems to help very few users if at all (reinstall .net, disable UAC, reinstall postgres...)
For example I have listed my various problems multiple times and whenever I did I only received these standard answers which I complied to every single time. That however did not change or improve my user experience with HM2 at all. Rather it made me feel like running around in circles and pissed me off more. Why don't you just have your developers fix this program on your end for a change :D

I beg yourpardon? Don't forget these are customers you are talking to in that condescending tone.

hunden got it absolutely right. What I meant was (whcih clearly you didnt grasp) is that I and many others have been returning to these forums like lost puppies for weeks/months hoping to find an answer to solve the issues of getting the wretched software to load, let alone do anytihng else.

I have undertaken every step suggested and have installed/unistalled programs, updates, tweaked this and that until I am blue in the face and yet the program still wont work.

HM1 is a dream. HM2 is an unmitigated diaster and you wont avoid it by trying to imply that I and others are mere mischief makers

I am sorry if you took that as condescending but I don't believe that was the intent. He was trying to get more details from you regarding your specific problems so he could better assist you.

Please give us some details about what you are doing when the problems happen, and what exactly those problems are. If the software is not loading or crashing we will need you to attach or email a log file to us so we can investigate it further.

Please reproduce the problem and attach your log.txt file. Please be as detailed as possible when descirbing your problems so we can provide you with the best solution.

Please zip and email the log, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to hm2support@holdemmanager.com
