View Full Version : Scroll bars missing/not working

Hello,
I'm encountering a kinda strange problem.
When I go to Reports->Tournaments and highlight one of the reporttabs, I can only see the scrollbar on the right side even though it's not working at all. I cannot use the mousewheel or even the arrow keys to scroll down and actually see data which would show up there.
The scrollbar which should be on the bottom is not even visible at all.

I'm running Windows Vista, all Updates are done, no antivirus, HEM is updated to 6309 and started as admin.

Any Ideas how I can fix that? I've already deleted the holdemmanager.config without any effect.

Thank you!

Maybe the screenshot attached while help clarifying the problem, I am sure this tab is not supposed to look as it does now, shouldn't there be cards... shown as well?

I'm assuming the whole lower part of the tab got dragged out of reach somehow, is there any way to reset it?

I can take the net.framework errors and the performancespikes where HEM decides to use outrageous amount of processor power, but not having a working reporttab is a bit too much :/

I have just written about the same issue in that threat: http://forums.holdemmanager.com/bug-reports/191381-hm-not-showing-hands-sessions.html#post954721

Reinstall the update: http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/Hm2_2.0.0.6309.exe
If that doesn't resolve it reinstall with the full installer.

Done both, but reinstalling doesn't fix it.

Any other idea?

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\holdemmanager.exe, hudfuncsapp.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager2 installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall for those files even if the firewall is turned off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily.

Run a manual Windows Update and install all .net framework updates.

Same here, nothing changed, the tab still looks completely off.

[Vista, running both as admin, Firewall is configured (seriously, as if the tab and the firewall....), absolutely all windows updates are done]

Actually it's kinda frustrating, I tested the trial, everything worked perfectly which made me buy the software.
Then the last update came a few days later and now I have messed up tabs, high cpu-load sometimes for a few minutes and those framework errors some others posted about here.
It's still a great software overall, but that disappointed me quiet a bit :/

Do you have the same issue if you create a new empty database? (and reimport your hands)

Try installing it to a a different folder with the full installer and run it from the new location.

Are you using any custom windows themes?
What are your dpi settings set to?
Change DPI Settings in Windows VISTA (http://www.lawfirmsoftware.com/support/change_dpi_settings_vista.htm)
HM2 requires default dpi settings to work 100% correctly.

I run windows 7 with the default settings. I have checked the DPI settings and there are the same: 9 points Segoe UI at 96 pixels per inch.

You will need to fix this by manually editing the config file.

Please close HM2 edit your holdemmanager.config file in C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager.

<Key Name="HandGridSplitHeight" Value="254" />

<Key Name="HandGridSplitHeight" Value="254" />

I've just followed these instructions. The line you mentioned was that way:

<Key Name="HandGridSplitHeight" Value="192.333333333334" />

Then, when I opened HM2, it's still the same. And looking again at the file holdemmanager.config I noticed that when I open HM2, the value of that line changes automatically to 192.333333...

I attach 2 more screenshots to help. The first is of the tournament results tab. When I open HM2, on the right side there is a tab named "Table" and another named "Graph", but the second one dissapears one second after.

The other screenshot is of the Tournaments tab. Here yes, there is the "Graph" tab on the right, but when I click on it, no result is shown. I guess there are "below" my screen.

Thanks for the help. I thought this time we could have found the solution...

Well, I just deleted everything in the :\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager (I guess it was that one or the equivalent to it, took me a while to find a matching folder) except the database and config folder in it and that solved it for me. Reinstalling...for some reason did nothing to it.

The problem is the long decimal value.

Please close HM2.

Please delete the holdemmanager.config file

Thank you for letting us know it solved your problems.

This worked for you because it deleted the holdemmanager.config file I mention in my previous reply to the other poster.

Reinstalling...for some reason did nothing to it.

Reinstalling the software only affects the \program files folders and not the \users folders so the corrupted .config file that needs to be edited/deleted was not affected in your reinstall.

Solved!

When I was going to delete the file, I realized that yesterday I modified the wrong file. I don't see the extension of the files, so I changed the file "HoldemManager.config", but it is a .BAK file (the config file appears as HoldemManager with no extension).

Changing the value in the config file solved it.

Thank you Awesome2012 and fozzy71.

.... I don't see the extension of the files,....

Ahh, I should have considered that possibility. Thank you for letting us know what solved your problems.
