Since my c drive reached it's limit, i decided to uninstall postgress from my c drive n reinstall it on my e drive. I started uninstalling, looked in the folder afterwards n noticed it had kept my database folder wich i forgot to backup first using pgadmin.
I then moved my database folder to my e-drive n installed postgress in there, Postgress said i didnt have to start a new cluster since it found my old databse.
But I couldnt connect to it through HM, I opened PgadminIII and the database was still there, only it wasn't running, n when i tried connecting to it I got the "server doesn't listen" error.

How do I fix this? i had like 700-800k hands in my folder, n i dont wanna lose them. can any1 help me???

Please try restarting the postgreSQL service http://208.109.95.123/faq/?f=34

I'm now getting a new error after ur help, in services after starting the postgress service, i get an error saying it started the service but that it shut down immediately because it was not beeing used?

i tried reinstalling everything back on my c: drive but that didn't help neither, I'm really getting frustrated n don't know what to do now, is there any other way i still can use my database?

This is usually a problem with a firewall or antivirus but this sometimes works, please try it: http://208.109.95.123/faq/?f=153
