I am getting the following error message:

An error occurred while loading the Prefs files: ", hexadecimal value 0x10, is an invalid character. Line 1, position1.

Close HM, delete the file and restart HM.
A new one should be generated. You'll need to rearrange your Hud stats after this.

I deleted the prefs file and now it won't validate my license. I followed the steps in the popup and went through the registration system. I clicked reset code button for both pc 1 and 2 because I don't remember which one is my laptop. It now lists only pc# 0. When I try to restart HEM, though, it goes through the same process again. I cannot validate my license.

I just sent my reg.log file.

I deleted the prefs file and now it won't validate my license.

:confused:

That surprises me that the HUD prefs would cause that.

I just sent my reg.log file.

To support email? or directly to fabio?

heh, it surprised me as well. obviously there's another problem, I guess. that is the only file I touched. I emailed the log file to support.

You should uninstall holdemmanager completely using the Revo uninstaller (www.revo.com) and start with a fresh installation of holdemmanager 1.08.04 and then updating to the latest Beta.

Agreed, a clean reinstall will probably get beyond that issue.

Okay, I uninstalled using revo and reinstalled. Now each time I reboot my laptop I am asked to verify my license again. That goes through fine each time. When I click "connect", though, I get the following unhandled exception error now:

Could not load file or assembly 'System.Data.dll' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format.

Here are the details:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Your system seems to be screwed somehow.
Please schedule a remote support session with our support manager. Email fabio@holdemmanager.net, with a link to this thread and your forum name, so he can setup a Teamviewer (http://www.teamviewer.com) session.
