Ok for the 10th time i have had the stupid postgre not wanting to run.

For the 10th time i read every single thread on this forum about it.

but this time instead of wasting 1hour installing/reinstalling everything. i finaly found a thread somewhere where the LAST step was delete the .pid file

After fking around with my firewall and windows for 20mins, i deleted the pid file without rebooting..

Voila. postgre snap started right after this.

I suggest you change your generic answer to start with this.. delete the pid file after closing any HEM process/disabling firewalls
Would of saved me 10+hrs over the last months

Thanks for the tip.
We have different FAQs for different things and in some of them we mention the postmaster.pid file so i think you unfortunately started on the wrong side.
