Hi,

i am new to betsafe. i have followed the FAQ about ongame sites and downloaded the latest version of HEM. However i cannot import the hand history files to the hem database.

one observation is that all my hands are saved in one single file named handhistory.txt regardless of the table on which each hand has been played.

any help on this would be greatly appreciated

thx.:D

Ok, I downloaded the newest beta, and I can see the BetSafe HHs in the DB now. The HUD doesn't appear by itself, but I can open the table finder, drag the red cross onto the table, and it works. Does it mean I have to do it manually every time?

In short my issue is that I have to use the red cross thing from teh table finder every time. Detailed answers below.

1) What version of Holdem Manager are you using eg 1.06.04 Beta 12?
1.09 beta 35

2) What Poker Site are you playing on and which gametype and does the problem occur on more than 1 site?
BetSafe, Holdem NL, it works on iPoker (VC), haven't tried other sites

2a) Have you clicked the Start Auto Import Button?
Yes

3) Have you the settings exactly as per the FAQ for your site?
Yes

4) Can you see the Hand History files showing up in the correct Folder on your PC, this folder should be indentical to the path location you set in Options > Configure Auto Import Folder in HM? If so please copy and paste the location as shown in the FAQ?
HHs are there

5) Are the hands being imported into Holdem Manager?
HHs are being imported

5a) Do they import if you create a new database?
N/A (they are imported into my current DB just fine)

6) Have You Tried the Table Finder and did it work?
Yes, Table Finder resolves the issue, I have to manually put the red mark on the table and it starts working.

7) If you open the HH are they written in English?
Yes

8) If your using Vista have you UAC disabled?
Yes, UAC is disabled

9) Have you attached the holdemmanager.config file?
Yes

You could try changing the auto-import settings for Ongame (only for ongame) from "Import from subfolders" to not "Import from subfolders".
And you should use an english Everest Client.

If that doesn't help i'm afraid you have to work with the table finder.

Okay, I will try, but I don't understand why would changing the import make a difference - the HHs are imported properly (I can see the imported hands in the HoldemManager), it's only the HUD that's not showing.

Everest client? I play on Betsafe... The client for Betsafe I use is in English.

i have exactly the same problem as Loki7, except that i use windows XP.
everything works fine, apart from having to use the table finder to make the HUD work.
not importing subfolders does not change anything.
2 of my friends have exactly the same problem as well.

Had the same problems with betsafe (Win XP+HM 1.09beta35).

Changing the ExeNames.txt at C:\Programme\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config solved the problem.

Because they write one single file for the hand histories to the root of the program, instead of in it's own \hand history folder. If 'import from sub-folders' is on, then Hm is trying to import lots of files that arent actually hand histories.
@fozzy- betsafe writes the HH in his own folder. Using this folder for auto-importing is strongly recommended. Location of this folder is (under Win XP):
C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Admin\Lokale Einstellungen\Anwendungsdaten\P5\Betsafe\handhisto ry

Took me more than an hour to find this folder, cause it's a hidden file.

If you use something like C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Admin\Lokale Einstellungen\Anwendungsdaten\P5\Betsafe and mark 'Import from subfolders' HM will try to import the .xml-files from betsafe- results are quite funny

Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmUpdate.exe

Under Windows 7 you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe to be started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executable's and select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=171

How are you trying to edit them? You are just trying to set them to run as admin on the compatibility tab? You said they are already set to run as admin, I thought.

What problems are you having with HM specifically? Will HM open? Do you get any errors? Does it Import or show the HUD?

It sounds like you may have already done this, if you set all 3 of those .exe's to run as admin.

What does the table finder do? http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=54

Please reproduce the problem and post a screen shot - http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/general/ht/winscreenshot.htm

with the following:

1) The table manager
2) The tables (including one with no stats)
3) The "importing\hud data" folder
4) The ...handhistory\screenname folder.
Please make 3 and 4 the detailed view with the dates and file sizes etc.

To attach it to a thread in the forums, look below the post reply button when you start a new thread and you'll see a manage attachments button. Click this and attach the file.
