Microsoft Updates

Just wondering if there's any way to get around Microsoft updates kinking up HEM. Any plans to rectify it in the future...

Its Postgresql not HM which sometimes has problems with Windows Updates.
I don't see any easy solution because Postgresql is installed very deep into the system.
