Hi,

When i tried to update from a pretty old version of holdemmanager to the new beta version (1.09), my database got messed up tremendously. I played 400k hands and lost 1million in one hour :D.. also it doesnt show any hud anymore at all the sites i play (ipoker entraction evp and microgaming).
I tried to download and install the 1.08 version, but this didnt fix any of the problem.
Im running it on vista, and it has always worked fine until now.
What options are possible for fixing these problems??

Chris

Please make sure you are using the latest Beta 35 and make sure that UAC is still switched off http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=73
or you run holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe as administrator.

As long as you don't touch the Postgresql Installation you should not loose any data because of a Holdemmanager Update.

hmm this doesnt seem to work.
it still imports any hand times 1000 or something, since i downloaded the new version and there still no hud popping up.
Is it possible to download a really old version somewhere maybe that will help. Or are there some other options to solve this problem? cuz its kinda annoying since your software is so good that i cant play without it :) :)

Just clear your Auto-Import folders, move all files to an archive folder. The archive folder must not be in the same folder structure than the handhistory folders.

If that doesn't help, please answer and post these questions: http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=174

no this doesnt work either.. still 1000 of hands per time.
I first set up all the autoimport folders again, with archiving. And when that didnt worked i moved all the files in different folders to a selected map.

Really dont know how to get this thing going, wish i had never updated :)

I think it has nothing to do with the update but with a wrong configuration.

Please attach the file holdemmanager.config from the config subfolder of the Holdemmanager installation post to your answer.

*Try creating a new UTF DB - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=146
*Now import a small portion of your \HMArchive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=173
*If the new DB seems to work properly, you will want to import the rest of your archives to the new DB, and export/import the hands from the old DB, and then delete the old DB. - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=21
