when im importing hands, it only says "import errors xxx hands" but when importing the same file to my other computers, it works fine no import errors. And also, when HM archives the file, it gets a super long name:

"00070007000700070007000700070007000700070007000700 07000700070007000700070007000700070007000700070007 00070007000700070007000700070007000700070007000700 07000700070007000700070007000700070007000700070007 000700070007session299535026.xml"

but when HM archives the file on the "working" computer, it archives it as "session299535026.xml"

what can be the problem?

Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

set the date formatting of your computer to M/d/yyyy (and not to European default d/M/yyyy) with regional settings English (United States)

Check your auto import folders settings.
Make sure you haven't created an import 'loop' where the archive folder is also added as an import folder.

I am noticing more and more lately hands missing from my MERGE SNGs.

Sometimes single hands, many times its the last hand or two or three of the tourney.

Originally I thought it was a MERGE prob, but today I noticed one SNG with NO HANDS in my database, but when looking at the orig XLM file, the whole tourney is there.

What to do?

have been reviewing file by file of todays tourneys and still finding hands that seem normal within the HH file that are not being imported into my HM database. Again the exceptions Im finding are at the end of the tourney last hand, or hands.

Do you multitable?
Is it possible you close the tables too early, before the last hand is fully updated/written to the handhistory file.

What happens if you reimport the handhistory file into a NEW database? Will it then show all the hands, including the last hand(s)?

Try reimporting the hands into a new database.

I copied the files (from my HMArchive) into a separate folder then reimported them into my reg database manually - it didnt seem to make any difference.

how do I create a 'new' database? Im running 1.12.08 right now on Windows 7

Update to 1.12.09: Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

New database: Options--> Database Management--> Connect--> Create New Database--> (set it as default)--> Start HoldemManager
Then reimport the hands.

yes, and if the file names are wrong you need a tool to rename them. See this discussion: http://forums.holdemmanager.com/manager-general/188851-problem-importing.html

went thru all the things you asked: updated from 1.12.08 to 1.12.09, set up new dattabase and copied all my hands into it - no new result. I am looking right now specifically at a game with at least 6 hands in it where my HEM database shows ONE hand only for that tourney.........................

...............what now?

Can you locate the handhistory file for this tourney? If not you should request the hands from the support of your pokersite.

I have all my HHs...should I send you a couple?

btw - Im finding more and more tourneys with hands missing in my HEM...its not uncommon for a tourney which has 20 hands in the HH file to only display 15 or 18....this is a real problem that seems to be affecting most if not all the files that are being imported

Here's a typical example: the tourney I just finished played 28 hands per the HH, but only 24 are showing up in HEM (and no I dont have any filters on)
