View Full Version : Discrepancies in STT EV

Can't believe I haven't noticed this before, but there seems to be a major discrepancy in how EV is calculated in STTs when you go all in but get called by 2 or more players who aren't all in at that point. For instance, I go all in preflop with AA and get called by 2 players that cover me, one with TT and one with 44. None of us improve on the flop, they both check. Likewise on the turn. River is a 4, guy with 44 shoves, guy with TT calls.

For some reason, even though when I went all in I was a 65% favourite to win against the other 2 hands (as was shown in the hand replayer), HEM seems to only consider the odds for EV purposes when the other 2 were all in, (ie when I was already beaten) rather than when I went all in (when I was a 65% favourite), and so my EV line isn't affected. I was trying to work out why, when I've been running so bad in such situations, that my EV graph isn't showing it.

Surely there is no basis for the EV to be calculated in this way.
