Hi,

I have been using holdem manager for a long time. I have had always this problem on my hud but it started to piss me off only couple of weeks ago. So everytime when I play on short- or fullhanded tables on any site, my HUD misses hands.

For example: Im playing on 6max table with 5 people (including me) and I dont have any stats before this session on my opponents and we have played 20 hands, when 6th person sits in and stars playing. Hud will shove on my every opponent same amount hands than on the new guy. It kinda starts it all over again. But if I doubleclick the star to view tablestats on opponent who have sat on the beginning with me, it shows it correctly.

But if I play with regulars on 3-4 table and I have history with my opponents HUD goes just crazy. Let say I have played with player X 400 hands and he sits in on the same tables. Now hud tells me that I have on this player 300 hands and on the other table it shows 250 hands and in the other it shows that I have all the 400 hands?

This is just creeping me out. I dont want to reinstall hole holdemmanager stuff because all this PostreGSL installation is so f frustrating, so what should I do?

*Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe
*If that doesn't help, please answer these questions - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=174

Please reproduce the problem and post a screen shot - http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/general/ht/winscreenshot.htm

with the following:

1) The table manager
2) The tables (including one with no stats)
3) The "importing\hud data" folder
4) The ...handhistory\screenname folder.
Please make 3 and 4 the detailed view with the dates and file sizes etc.

U can see the bottom left table, where I was playing 15 hands with No_flaw, but when SergSandin sits on the table I lose my 15 hands on No_flaw and I can see only 2 played hands.

Interesting.

Let's check a couple more things before I ask the developer to assist.

Windows Auto update is fully updated?

Control Panel > Programs and Features: Is Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 installed? Is version 3.0 and 2.0 also installed?

Any firewalls or internet security apps? Have you set exceptions int he firewall for Hm and HMHUD?

I am probably going to end up suggesting a clean reinstall of HM, but you do NOT have to uninstall your DB. HM can be uninstalled, reinstalled, and connected to your existing DB in about 15 - 20 minutes (or less if it's me doing it ;) ).

I just noticed your config file and think I found at least a part of the problem.

<setting name="AutoImportFolderList">C:\Program Files (x86)\Red Kings Poker\Resources\Databases,True,True,C:\HMArchive
C:\Program Files (x86)\bwin\Resources\Databases,True,True,C:\Users\ Mikael\Documents\käsihistoriat
C:\Users\Mikael\Pokerstars käsihistoriat,True,True,C:\Users\Mikael\Documents\ käsihistoriat

The last entry:

C:\Users\Mikael\Pokerstars käsihistoriat,True,True,C:\Users\Mikael\Documents\ käsihistoriat

That means you have configured HM to auto-import from the archive folder. This is very bad. it creates and endless import/move loop and forces HM to scan thru your entire archive of files to try and find anew hand (every 5 seconds).

Please remove that entry:

Options > Configure auto import folders:

Select it and the Delete it.

Thansk fozzie I really appreciate your help, but nothing changed. :( I guess that I just have to reinstall this whole HEM and PostreSQL system.

Not Postgresql!!!!
Only Holdemmanager.

THIS

Do NOT reinstall postgresql.

Before you uninstall HM:

I want to re-install Holdem Manger without losing all of my settings and preferences. Can this be done? - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=98

You want to make sure you backup your Processed/Archived hand histories, your entire \config folder, and your exportednotes file. http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/?f=119. I usually just copy my entire \Holdem Manager directory.

I would also make sure you manually export the database to hand history text files:

HM > Options > Database Management > Connect > Export Hands

How do I export or import hands into and from Holdem Manager? - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=173

Make sure you copy that folder as well as the other stuff I mentioned.

This helps to insure that if anything goes wrong with the backup/restore, you can manually import the exported files to rebuild.

If you have Vista, please verify that UAC is still off. - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=73. If it is on, please turn it off and reboot.

Turn off Windows Firewall for installing HM and PostgreSQL. You must also add exceptions to the Windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, uninstall it completely before installing HM/SQL - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=171

1) Make a backup of your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder, and any other important files mentioned earlier.
2) Uninstall HM with www.revouninstaller.com using the Deep setting.
3) If given the option, on the 2 following screens of Revo, choose the Select All > Delete buttons to remove any registry entries and leftover files.
4) Reboot your computer
5) Install the complete setup of HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/holdemmanager.zip
6) Download the latest patch HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe
7) Test if it for a while and see if it work
8) Close down Holdem Manager and rename the current, working \config folder to \config_original. Now copy your \config folder from step 1 and paste it to your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\ fodler, to replace the one you just renamed.
9) Test if it works again for a while
10) If your old config folder causes problems, you can paste the contents of the \config_original folder back in.
11) Now you can import any notes and hud configs.
