My PostgreSQL database was taking up too much space on C: so I tried moving it to another partition with more space available.
First I backed up the database in PGadmin III, then i uninstalled Postgre, and reinstalled it on another drive.
After a few things going wrong I finally got it installed. So I proceed to restore my database on the new drive. According to your FAQ I need to do this in pgadmin III. So I fire it up, using the .exe in the new Postgre folder on the other drive. When I try to connect to the database (the first step: double clicking on it and entering the password) it says connection failed. Something about other addresses not listening. I already changed the postgresql.conf file to "#listen_addresses = '*' " but everytime I double click it, it just says connecting to database... Failed.
Help ?
