I have been using HEM for about 6 months now and am very satisfied with the product, however my computer froze during a session and when I rebooted I was unable to start the program, getting the following error msg.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.
Could not load file or assembly 'HEMGUI, Version=1.0.9.1. Culture=neutral, PublicKey Token=6ab470301e931f98' or one of its dependencies. The module was expected to contain an assembly manifest.
----------------------------------------------------------------
I have done all the suggested steps in the FAQs such as clean reinstall of HEM, reinstall POSTGRE, firewall is off and exceptions added, windows defender off, antivirus off, reinstall dotnet 3.5 SP1, latest beta release, etc. The interesting thing is actually the program runs if I do a clean install and patch using beta 1.09.28 but it gives me the error on any later beta version after that.
Any help on solving this issue would be appreciated since I think I will eventually need to update my program version and I would like it to work when I do.
