Transferring HUD settings

I was previously told that in order to transfer my HUD settings to a friend, I should send them my Config folder to replace their current Config folder.


While this method works for most, it does NOT work for everyone (if someone's DB is named differently than mine.)


Is there a more reliable method of transferring my HM1 settings? If I export my HUD and send them only the default.xml file, will that:
1) Work 100% of the time
and
2) Transfer ALL setting including custom popups?

Even if the DB name was the same it still wouldn't work.
Your custom HUD isn't saved in the /Config folder, but in the PostgreSQL database.
So you always have to EXPORT the HUD from HoldemManager (hud options--> player preferences)

-1 so you can export--> and sent the default.xml file (note: this will overwrite his existing HUD called "default", so he should backup his HUD before he imports yours)

-2 To transfer custom popups, you can sent--> overwrite the HoldemManager/Config/*.pop files
