I have no issues with the latest ftp update and HM 1.09 beta 34.

*Please make sure your HM updated fully to the beta 34 - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe
*If that doesn't help, please answer these questions - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=174

Please reproduce the problem and post a screen shot - http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/general/ht/winscreenshot.htm

with the following:

1) The table manager
2) The tables (including one with no stats)
3) The "importing\hud data" folder
4) The ...handhistory\screenname folder.
Please make 3 and 4 the detailed view with the dates and file sizes etc.

To attach it to a thread in the forums, look below the post reply button when you start a new thread and you'll see a manage attachments button. Click this and attach the file.

when i download the beta i get an error message that says "the package was unable to replace the following file:C:\program files (x86)\rvg software\holdem manager\holdemmanager.exe"

does this have something to do with it?

im also having a problem with HUD since today's Full Tilt update.

when i hit the start auto import, a message says "Failed to create table overlay!"

then it says the problem is caused by the program being not run as administrator

so i switched to run as administrator it says "couldnt load config\PosPref2.txt"

"If you continue new panel positions will be written, Do you want to continue?"

once i get to this point i just click "No" b/c i dont know what it means.

reboot your computer, download and install the latest Beta 34 again.

Click Yes

If it still gives you the message later, after playing and rebooting:

1) Close HM and the Table Manager.
2) Delete your existing position files, so HM will rebuild them to default.
3) Delete > \Holdem Manager\Config\pospref.txt and pospref2.txt.
4) Start HM< Auto Import, Open the Table Manager, and open 1 cash table.
5) Use Ctrl Right-Click Drag to move the panels Move the main/first panel for each player first. This is the panel with the Note Icon (astersik).
6) Once the main panel is in the proper position, you can position any hud sub-panels for each player.
7) Once they are set, go to Table Manager > File > Save Positions.
8) Close that table, open a new one, and sit to play.

I am a new user of HEM and have just installed it on a PC which I have freshly installed Windows XP and SP3 after (thoroughly) formatting the disc. The only site I play at present is Full Tilt and I have just downloaded and installed all software within the last few days.

The problem is as follows: the hud recognises and attaches to all my tables fine at first, and it seems like all my hands are being imported into my HEM database. The thing is that after a while the HUD seems to 'freeze', it doesn't update and when I mouse over the stats the additional yellow pop-up information window does not appear. This does not happen on all tables.

I also notice that the stats for players who have busted (from a SnG) remain after they are gone, I'm not sure if this is meant to happen.

---------------------------------------

1) What version of Holdem Manager are you using eg 1.06.04 Beta 12?
Trial 1.08.04

2) What Poker Site are you playing on and which gametype and does the problem occur on more than 1 site?
Full Tilt is the only site I can play at the moment.

2a) Have you clicked the Start Auto Import Button?
Yes and the HUD works as intended initially

3) Have you the settings exactly as per the FAQ for your site?
I believe so, there don't seem to be specific FT settings

4) Can you see the Hand History files showing up in the correct Folder on your PC, this folder should be indentical to the path location you set in Options > Configure Auto Import Folder in HM? If so please copy and paste the location as shown in the FAQ?
I have checked twice, yesterday and today. Yesterday the HHs were going to the folder specified in the FT client, today all my HHs are now in the archive folder. As the HUD launched initially and worked today I presume the files go to the main folder that FT is still set to save them in before being archived.

5) Are the hands being imported into Holdem Manager?
Yes

5a) Do they import if you create a new database?
I think this is n/a

6) Have You Tried the Table Finder and did it work?
I think this is n/a

7) If you open the HH are they written in English?
Yes

8) If your using Vista have you UAC disabled?
n/a

9) Have you attached the holdemmanager.config file?
I hope so!

Many thanks for your help.

When you highjack a thread you should at least read the earlier posts. :)

You need 1.09 Beta 34. Please update from the link in my signature.

The HUD works nicely now after that update, only thing I noticed odd was an error message when I quit.

I can live with it but in case you're curious I cut and pasted the details into a text file for you.

1) Clear your web cache, and download the beta update again, with another browser if possible.
2) Right-Click > Save Link As to save it to a different folder.
3) Reboot, and run the installer first thing.
4) Make sure the update is installing to the proper \holdem manager folder

If you continue to get the error, you will want to try a clean reinstall of HM.

Before you uninstall HM:

I want to re-install Holdem Manger without losing all of my settings and preferences. Can this be done? - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=98

You want to make sure you backup your Processed/Archived hand histories, your entire \config folder, and your exportednotes file. http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/?f=119. I usually just copy my entire \Holdem Manager directory.

I would also make sure you manually export the database to hand history text files:

HM > Options > Database Management > Connect > Export Hands

How do I export or import hands into and from Holdem Manager? - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=173

Make sure you copy that folder as well as the other stuff I mentioned.

This helps to insure that if anything goes wrong with the backup/restore, you can manually import the exported files to rebuild.

If you have Vista, please verify that UAC is still off. - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=73. If it is on, please turn it off and reboot.

Turn off Windows Firewall for installing HM and PostgreSQL. You must also add exceptions to the Windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, uninstall it completely before installing HM/SQL - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=171

1) Make a backup of your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder, and any other important files mentioned earlier.
2) Uninstall HM with www.revouninstaller.com using the Deep setting.
3) If given the option, on the 2 following screens of Revo, choose the Select All > Delete buttons to remove any registry entries and leftover files.
4) Reboot your computer
5) Install the complete setup of HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/holdemmanager.zip
6) Download the latest patch HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe
7) Test if it for a while and see if it work
8) Close down Holdem Manager and rename the current, working \config folder to \config_original. Now copy your \config folder from step 1 and paste it to your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\ fodler, to replace the one you just renamed.
9) Test if it works again for a while
10) If your old config folder causes problems, you can paste the contents of the \config_original folder back in.
11) Now you can import any notes and hud configs.
