I just downloaded Hold'em Manager to trial it. I have followed the quick start instructions, imported hands etc - I can see all that. No HUD though. Im playing MTT's doesn't it work for them or something?

Please try updating to the latest beta version from the link in my signature.

If you have Vista, please verify that UAC is still off. If it is on, please turn it off and reboot. http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=73

If that doesn't help, please answer and post these questions: http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=174

Just wondering is it not dangerous to turn it off? I mean it is going to be a pain to switch it on and off all the time?

If you prefer to leave UAC on all the time, you can set holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe to always 'run as administrator'. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the holdemmanager.exe and the hmhud.exe executable and select "Run as admin" from the popup menu.

I personally am far too annoyed by all the unnecessary windows warnings about things I am doing on my own accord, to leave UAC on all the time. If you want the added security (read: lots of annoying warnings) of UAC, then just set those 2 files to run as admin and you should be fine.

Killed UAC long ago :D

Anyway, got it working now, got the HD working too. All is good. It was the beta update link that did it which I had seen somewhere else on these very forums.
