Why is it some hands wont let themselves get imported? Think I've read something about it before but couldn't find it now.

I'm talking about showdowns like this one:

Hand#1994012597000158 - Copenhagen (1 on 1) 12597 -- $5/$10 NL Hold'em -- 2009.09.20 - 15:36:23
Seat 3: Villain ($1*252 in chips) DEALER
Seat 8: Hero ($1*089 in chips)
Hero: posts small blind $5
Villain: posts big blind $10
Dealt to Hero [Jd,8d]
Hero: raises to $20
Villain: raises to $85
Hero: calls $65
*** FLOP *** [Qs,9h,2s]
Villain: bets $120
Hero: calls $120
*** TURN *** [Td]
Villain: checks
Hero: bets $205
Villain: calls $205
*** RIVER *** [4h]
Villain: checks
Hero: is all in 679.0000
Villain: calls $679
***SHOW DOWN***
Hero: shows [Jd 8d] (Straight, Queen high)
Villain: mucks
Hero: wins $2*177,50 with Straight, Queen high
Villain: mucks [ Ts, Ad ] (Pair)

Sent an email right after you posted, but still haven't got any answer. Do I have to wait much longer?

It can certainly take a few days as we get 100's of support emails per day.

Are you using 1.09 beta 34?

What is the deal with the stack sizes?

Using 1.09 Beta 30. Should I update?

Don't know what's up with the stack sizes, as I did change them or anything.

Yes. You should have updated before sending out the email with hand histories, but that is my fault for not verifying you had the latest beta.

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe

To get all your missed/error hands imported

1) Right-Click your Desktop > New > Folder.
2) Go to your \HMArchive folder - To verify the path, go to Options > Configure Auto Import Folders > Edit > Archive Folder: _________.
3) Open that folder and copy the hands (folders of hands) you think it has missed. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31). Also get any hand files that are in your \poker site\hand history folder.
4) Paste them into your new desktop folder > HM > Import From Folder.

If that doesn't work, please try test importing those files to a new DB:

*Please make sure your Windows Auto Update is fully updated.
*Make sure you have Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 installed.
*Try creating a new DB - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=146
*Now import a small portion of your \HMArchive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=173
*If the new DB seems to work properly, you will want to import the rest of your archives to the new DB, and export/import the hands from the old DB, and then delete the old DB. - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=21

Hello, sorry for the late reply, I was out of town for the last week.

Anyway, I tried to update (beta 35) and re-import now. Still nothing!

Tried to create a new DB and import all the Cake hands (havent played there too much so only like 1700 hands). I just got the same hands as in my last DB: The ones who I couldn't import in my last DB hasn't gotten imported in the new one either.

Any other suggestions?

Edit: I see from my post with the HH there's a * in the stacksize, as you pointed out. From the raw HH i got, it's not, so just ignore that one.

Already did this the 21th. But fine, I can do it again.

I have forwarded both of them. The problem with cake hands is, that they are very often corrupt or incomplete so it's not easy to add support for them. We are working on it.

Hi, I made a bunch of changes in beta 42 and now all of the cake hands you sent me import correctly. I should have this released tomorrow night

Thanks,
Roy
