My computer was reformatted and now I'm having a lot of trouble with HEM 1.

I restored my database but when I tried to manually import 22 new files, it took FOREVER to import. It took a very long time to start importing in the first place, and when it finally started, it did so at a speed of 0.3 hands/s.

I created a new database to see if it would import faster. It did, but it only did so at a maximum speed of 25 hands/s (and it was usually much lower than this).

I uninstalled HEM, reinstalled, and then created another database and tried again. This time it imported at 8 hands/s.

I am using Windows 7 and Norton 360 as my antivirus. I had Immunet 3.0 and IObit Malware Fighter, but I deleted both of those to see if HEM would work better (it didn't). I was using Norton 360 before the reformat and HEM worked just fine.

I don't understand how importing is so slow after reformatting my computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I should also mention that auto import also didn't work. It recognized the tables and it actually even imported ONE hand from one of them, but then that was it. Stopped working completely.

Are you playing on PokerStars?

WHICH OPERATING SYSTEM< FIREWALL< AND ANTI_VIRUS ARE YOU USING?

PLEASE UPDATE TO THE LATEST BETA _ HTTP://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/hmupdate.exe

for w7 and vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. run the windows explorer and navigate to your holdemmanager installation directory. right click the executables and select properties... then select 'run as admin' from the compatibility tab.

add exceptions to the windows firewall for holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe, even if the firewall is turned off. if you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily.

make sure your video card drivers and windows auto updates are fully updated. run a manual windows update and install all updates, including all .net framework updates.

are you using the Norton Firewall?
Turn off the Norton Firewall, allowing you to turn on the Windows Firewall again to set the exceptions.
