View Full Version : Error 10013 on windows 7
Hi!
I've been trying to reinstall HEM and postgresql because of my new OS (windows7).
The problem is when I install postgresql and on the 10th step error appears:
Error binding the test network socket:10013
I turned off UAC, I had the exact username in both steps, do you maybe know what could be the trouble?

Please verify that UAC is still off entirely. http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/12/30/how-to-disable-and-turn-off-uac-in-windows-7/ If it is on, please turn it off and reboot.
Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=171
Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe
For uninstalling SQL please follow these steps:
1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
2) manually delete or rename the Program Files\Postgresql folders
3) run the command - start > run > cmd >
net user postgres /delete
4) reboot.
5) Install PostgreSQL 8.4, with your firewall uninstalled or turned off if windows firewall - http://www.enterprisedb.com/products/pgdownload.do#windows
