I just bought a new Vista PC yesterday, and tried to install HEM on it. I have a registered version of HEM already, so I tried using slot two. I was able to install HEM and SQL without any problem. Also, I was able to enter my serial number and go through the activation process without a problem. However, when the activation process was complete and I was told to click "OK", my computer froze. I tried several times, including deleting and reinstalling HEM as well as turning the "User Account Control" on and off. Every single time I try, the computer completely freezes in the exact same place. Interestingly, when I sign into my serial number user name, it shows two computers now registered to the account, but every time I open HEM it is still in trial version mode.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Please try with running holdemmanager.exe as administrator and disable your firewall.
This might help too: http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=159

Right click on the file -> Properties, there should be an option for this.
Can't help you with your firewall, because i don't know what you have installed.
