As soon as I start HEM, I get the following alert: "The following error occurred when trying to open the database: Failed to establish a connection to 127.0.0.1"
I have tried to start stop the service but no luck. Please help...I am lost here.

Did you try to reboot your computer?

None of these options have resolved my problem. Is it possible to set up a remote session with the Support team? I have been without HEM for weeks now and this is a problem.

None of these options have resolved my problem. Is it possible to set up a remote session with the Support team? I have been without HEM for weeks now and this is a problem.
1. Go to C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.x\data and look for a file called
"postmaster.pid". If you see it, delete it. (Do NOT delete any other file)
2. Start the PostgreSQL service by going to Control Panel ->
Administrative Tools -> Services.

I have deleted the postmaster.pid and now it works! thnx! :D
