Hey all

I just bought HEM PRO version Holdem + omaha. However, I stumbled on a problem which I hope u guys can help me with.

I started to download HEM full version before I downloaded the PostgreSQL. When I found out I had to use it so then I downloaded it, which said it was installed successfully. Then I started up HEM database control panel to move forward, but when I taped connect it said "A connection to PostgreSQL could not be made." So I tried to uninstall it and download it again but it didnt work. So now I do not know what to do?

Can somebody plz help me?? Should i delete it all HEM and PostgreSQL and start on a fresh?? ORRR???????????????????

Peace Nick

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe.

Vista: Turn off UAC - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=73

Turn off Windows Firewall for installing HM and PostgreSQL. Once you get those installed you can add exceptions to the firewall. If you have a 3rd party firewall, uninstall it completely before installing HM/SQL - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=171

For uninstalling SQL please follow these steps:

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
2) manually delete the Program Files\Postgresql folders
3) run the command - start > run > cmd >

net user postgres /delete
4) reboot.
5) Install PostgreSQL 8.4, with your firewall uninstalled or turned off if windows firewall - http://www.enterprisedb.com/products/pgdownload.do#windows

Let me know if you have any problems or need help.

You need to install postgresql first. When its running and you can connect via pgadmin its time to install Holdemmanager starting with full version 1.08.04 and then updating to the latest beta.

Okay i turned off my fire wall. Then i first downloaded Postgresql, and it first said something like, there could not be connected to the database!! After it said u have installed succesfull. Then i downloaded HM 1.08 and then the new version. It is still saying in the HM database control panel that a connection to Postgresql could not be made.

Now what do i do ??

OK, obviously your postgresql installation failed.

Please check this:
http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=34
and
http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/showthread.php?t=8261

Please come back if you can't figure it out. It might be necessary to schedule a teamviewer session.

So i should try to use the guide for vista - link : http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=34 ???

Yes but start with the postgresql things. As long as the Postgresql service is not running HM will not work.

"Yes but start with the postgresql things. As long as the Postgresql service is not running HM will not work"

That is what i am trying to do. But Postgresql wont work.

When i try to connect to HM in the HM database control panel, it is still saying cant connect to Postgresql.

So should i try to follow the guide for Vista users?? Because I have vista.

What is my next move??
