What a royal pain to set this up. Software finds Tables i am at , but shows no players. Following the debugging instruction I finally end up at Filters and select Stakes . . .. . then when I try to save and close I get an error message "You need to select one or more cash stakes" even though I have selected all the stake options. THIS IS A TERRIBLE WASTE OF TIME. . . .TIME TO MOVE ON.

Unfortunately Holdemmanager is a very sophisticated software which needs to communicate with a database and lots of different Pokerclients. So it needs some adjustment and permanent updates. But its worth the time when you have it running :)

Please read our newbie guide and the manual for the start:
http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=2
http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HoldemManagerManual.pdf

Please update to the latest Beta 1.09.30a because some Pokersites made updates which require this version to work.

If you still have problems to get it working please come back with detailled error messages (some screenshots could be helpfull too) and we will try to figure it out.

Following the advice above I installed the beta version. . . . .now the program doesnt open at all!!! Just an error message that the "Program has encountered a problem and needs to close" . . .. after wasting hours installing the SQL, and getting the non-beta up it gets worse!!!
With the original version, it see tables but no players. I must say, this software is not ready for general distribution. I am not using an exotic site either. . . .if it dosent work on PokerStars it should not be distributed.

We have thousands of customers using the software daily.

Unfortunately you need the latest Beta for Stars because of their update 2 weeks ago.

I suggest you reboot your computer, clear your browser cache or use a different browser and download and install the update again. I guess there is something wrong with your download.

If it doesn't help please come back with a detailled error message and description of your system.

It sounds like you aren't importing hands so it is one of these problems

1) stars is not saving the hands - check the option in Stars client
2) you did not point auto import at the location where Stars is saving the hands
